At Steel Strong Community Federal Credit Union, you're more than just a member—you're part of a community that’s been growing together since 1942. Whether you're opening your first account or joining alongside family, we’re here to support your financial journey with care, trust, and a personal touch every step of the way.

Who Can Join

You're eligible to become a member of Steel Strong Community Federal Credit Union if you:

  • Live, work, worship, or attend school in:

    • Elizabeth or Forward Township, PA

    • The boroughs of Braddock, Dravosburg, Jefferson Hills, Lincoln, North Braddock, or West Mifflin, PA

    • The city of Clairton, PA

  • Are an immediate family member of a current Steel Strong member (just note that in the “eligibility” section of the online application).

Application Requirements

To complete your online application, you’ll need to:

  • Provide basic identifying information

  • Upload one of the following valid, government-issued photo IDs:

    • Driver’s License

    • State-Issued ID

    • U.S. Passport

Please note: Your ID must match the address on your application. If it doesn’t, we’ll ask for proof of your current address.

Funding Your Account

Once approved, you’ll need to deposit a minimum of $50 into your Share Savings account within 30 days. You can fund your account by:

  • Bringing cash or check in person

  • Making a VISA Cash Advance (in person or over the phone)

  • Completing an online transfer from another financial institution

  • Mailing a check to:
